We spoke with rennenbmx on Instagram to get the details.
George used the Lynx 2100LSY for the work. His shop, Rennen Design Group, is Massachusetts-based but they actually found the machine in Chicago. “I actually bought the floor model from the 2018 IMTS show,” he said. “It went into service in January 2019.”
Rennen’s mini BMX cranks start off as 1.7 pound hunks of 7075-T6, then 86% of the material is removed by the Lynx. The result is one of the most advanced mini BMX cranks out there.
Rennen Design Group, based in Middleborough, Massachusetts, is a BMX racing-focused shop. George has an BMX racing background, and the company caters to racers searching for a competitive edge.
“I do a lot of mill turn work with the Lynx 2100LSY. I love it.”
